BALANÇAS MARQUES' LETTER TO SANTA CLAUS (2022 VERSION)

“Dear Santa, 
The most magic time of the year – yours – is back. And, as always, here at Balanças Marques, we write you a letter. Not to make our wish list, but to thank the highlights of 2022. 

Once again, we had a year full of challenges. Between the pandemic and all the worries that came with it internationally, we faced many obstacles. But still, all the positive developments weigh much more in our balance. 

At the José Pimenta Marques Group, 2022 was synonymous with (re)union, returns, success, and more internationalization.

So, this Christmas, we can only be thankful: 

•    For our growth
The scenario did not promise it. But in 2022 our Group of companies continued to grow.

Product development remained a priority and new solutions emerged in our catalogue. Market demand required that we continue to recruit, and our number of employees increased.

Our results again exceeded expectations.  

•    For the return to the international fairs
After 2 very limited years in terms of circulation, 2022 brought us several trips.

It was the year of the great return to international fairs.

Between March and November (and just to give a few examples), we were at Big 5 Saudi, in Riad (Saudi Arabia); at Europain, in Paris (France); at Hannover Messe, in Hannover (Germany) and at Gulfood, in Dubai (United Arab Emirates).

•    For the recognition of our work
The feeling of seeing our daily work recognized over the last decades is indescribable.

And in 2022, we achieved another distinction that makes us feel particularly proud and grateful.

We were awarded the Medal of Merit – Gold Degree, awarded by the Municipality of Braga, the city that hosts our facilities from the first moment.

•    For the occasions when we could join the Family
2022 was the year in which, gradually, we were able to resume the desired pre-COVID normality.

Therefore, it was also the year in which we were finally able to join all our employees in one place.

What gave an even more special touch to occasions like Family Day and our Magusto.

Thank you, Santa! For all this. For each detail that gave us the motivation to face the new year with new ambitions and redoubled force.

We hope to write you again in 2023 with even more facts to thank for!
